Christopher Jenner started his studio in London towards the end of 2010.
Born in South Africa, he graduated in Cape Town, from where he set off on a period of extended travel, living in Paris, Tel Aviv and Hong Kong. This journey, coupled with a childhood passion for indigenous culture, continues to effect an ethnographic imprint in his projects.
Story-telling forms a central role in Christopher’s work. His strategic approach is cultivated through an in-depth explorative and research process, resulting in a myriad of compositions.
A noted quality is his ability to reconcile the past and present, elevating heritage and tradition into the contemporary age, while capturing an emotive, magical sprit. Evident in the detail of his work is a passion for artisanal skill; allowing for process lead experimentation and learning.
In 2012 Christopher presented his first studio story with the acclaimed installation ‘The Looking Glass House’ and the toy-like collection Swell at the Salone del Mobile, Milano. The same year he was awarded 'British Breakthrough Talent' for 2012 by FX magazine, and in 2013 was appointed Creative Director for the Eurostar.
The studio enjoys the patronage of a small list of clients who employ design as a key part of their strategy.
His work is regularly featured in the global press, generating valuable recognition and return for his clients.
